Representation Matters.

Indigistock sprouted from a recognition that Native Americans are absent from most major stock photo sources, creating a void of indigenous faces and voices in media. When Native Americans are included in stock photography, they are often locked into historical timeframe, with romanticized traditional attire of feathers and fringe.

Native Americans today are business leaders, doctors, community organizers, attorneys. We are artists, ranchers, first responders, athletes. We are proud of our heritage while also looking towards the future. Indigistock seeks to fill the gap in stock photography resources that represent today’s Native America – diverse, vibrant, growing communities that we aim to give greater visibility and voice.
